Hi. I’m an international student who was admitted to Columbia GS. I was really excited to attend initially, but hearing the polarizing opinions about GS and the general stigma around it is making me reconsider my decision. I’m still inclined to give GS a shot because I’ve always wanted to be in NYC during my early 20s + study / conduct research under a world renowned Econ faculty but I’m also looking to explore the possibility of transferring if Columbia doesn’t end up being a good fit for me (would be eligible for traditional admissions by some universities). If anyone has any knowledge / experience with transferring from a non traditional program to a traditional 4 year college, I would really love to hear your advice on this. Thanks!
