My dog had a small bald patch on her head for a while, didn’t think too much of it until there started to be a little red dot (looked like it could be dried/crusty blood). Again, just put it down to a scratch or something. Then a small bump appeared, which then had gotten smaller for a few days before getting a hell of a lot bigger and angrier.

I’ve taken her to the vets and they have said it isn’t an ingrown hair but is likely a histiocytoma. I have been given some steroid cream to use for a week to see if this helps. They said that, as it’s on her head, they would recommend surgically removing this before it got too big if the cream doesn’t help.

Just looking for a second opinion before I start to panic about having to put my dog under GA and all the risks involved with that. Pictures in comments. Thanks!
