This happened to me several times over the last year or two. I get wakened up at around 4:30am (daylight saving time, so 3:30 ish really) by an intense feeling of vibrations/energy in my whole body. The same kind of vibrations/energy I often feel in meditative states, but a bit stronger.

It feels like the Universe is giving me a wake-up call: "Time to meditate, buddy!".

I could not relate this to moon phases, evening meditation, food or anything I could think about. I do however remember a friend who mentioned to me that the best time to meditate is about this time (4am ish?) for a reason I can't recall. Is this related?

What is the meaning of this? I try to go back to sleep but can't so I meditate instead but this has a bit of a toll on fatigue during the day?

Any guidance / experience sharing would be much appreciated, I feel this is important.

I did a first shamanic trip with a friend guiding me. We went first to the lower, then to the higher worlds. Visualisation was very good, I could find one of my totem animals in the lower world, and felt my spirit guides (though did not see them) in the higher world.
Is this similar to astral projection / travel?

I believe I can do astral travel, not just mental projection. But I am not sure.

What makes me believe is a trip I did to a temple to experience a big energy wave that was due there that I very much felt, or a trip where I went way to far and was in lock-in mode for a while, or the challenge I had to come back (I feel a bit above/behind my head and clumsy for a few hours) which I fixed by now, or the feelings I have when I cruise the universe and fly through stars, or just my "guru" telling me I go quickly and easily into expanded levels of consciousness and talking about my astral trips. But I don't know how much any of this is "proof".

What makes me doubt I can is that I don't see other people; I see places or nature very vividly, but I do not "see" people like I read from others. I do "feel" them a bit, but just faint.

Another clue: when I did a shamanic trip guided by a friend, he could see me but I could not see him though I could see my totem, place and nature very vividly too, possibly hinting at a problem of me zapping out people or not at the right vibrational state rather than being in a mental vs astral trip. But here I am assuming that a shamanic trip is similar to astral travel.

Can anyone provide some help on what I am doing wrong?

PS: u/mod: please kindly let me know this is not the right sub
