M, 45yo, I started to feel some tightness in my right hamstring about 3 months ago from driving and sitting too long in an office chair. It escalated to shooting pain down my right leg while sitting or driving.

I kept attempting to stretch it out, but to no avail. I started doing PT and some massage, about 2.5 months ago to get ahead of it, only using a standing desk, hiking and cycling to stay mobile. Doing lots of familiar stretches, using heating pad and ice, but nothing is really helping.

At first the pain down the right leg was slight and very manageable, I had no trouble sleeping. But shortly thereafter driving became so painful; on long trips I had to lay down in the back seat.

And now I have been to 2 urgent care appointments, had 2 different muscle relaxers prescribed, had a Toridol injection, X-rays with little to show. I had to fly across the country in a seat with no recline, and my lumbar pillow that helped with driving was no help.

Now for the past week since with the pain/discomfort I am sleeping at most 2 hours at a time on my back, no relief on either side with pillows between my legs. It seems nothing is helping. I have a couple of specialist Dr. appointments coming up with an orthopedist and another spine specialist, and plan to get MRI next week.

Any advice for how to manage this? Thanks in advance
