I'm looking for some hiking shoes that are wide toe box and low drop, with low cushioning, but also aren't super ugly, so this rules out most barefoot shoes. Altra seems to fit what I'm after, I'm just concerned about their durability after reading reviews.

So what would be the best altras (or other brands) for hiking, and are they durable?
