Need advice about SciSec 2026 conference (Springer LNCS) – trustworthy?
Hi everyone,
My research paper was recently selected for SciSec 2026 (Science for Cyber Security), and I received an acceptance. The conference website is: https://scisec.org
They mentioned that the proceedings will be published in Springer LNCS, but the registration/publication fee is 4000 RMB (~$550 USD).
I wanted to ask if anyone here knows about this conference or has published/presented at previous SciSec conferences. Is it considered a trustworthy and legitimate conference? How is its reputation in cybersecurity/computer science research?
One thing that made me a bit unsure is that the contact email seems to be a Hotmail address, which felt unusual for an academic conference.
Before I pay the fee, I’d really appreciate honest opinions from people with conference experience or anyone familiar with SciSec / Springer LNCS conferences.
