Hi! I've been on Lexapro for almost 10 weeks, almost 8 weeks on 10 mg. My nervous system has calmed down a lot but I don't feel like myself and feel a little numb, unmotivated. I still struggle with sleep, all this kind of started with insomnia and anxious feelings. I also still don't have an appetite.

I feel quite tired during the day. I'm a little afraid of lowering the dose in case the sleep gets worse but also increasing could just make me feel more flat. But something's gotta give at this point.

Anyone have any experience with this? Especially concerning sleep. I also probably have ADHD and in the middle of getting assessed.

Hi all! I needed some advice on this so hopefully I get some helpful replies. Over two months ago I our of nowhere got insomia and anxiety which later turned into depressive symptoms as well. I had these adrenaline dumps our of nowhere so could not relax. I had heart palpitations as one of my first symptoms out of nowhere too. Loss of appetite, tingling in hands and feet, coldness in extremities, loss of interest in things, emotional blunting etc. I felt like my brain was inflamed if that makes sense and just not working.

I was started on Lexapro 10 mg and now over 9 weeks later I still don't feel well enough. I still have trouble to calm down to sleep and need meds to help with sleep. I feel off, not myself. I am in process of getting my ADHD assessment which probably contributes to my nervous system being sensitive anyway.

What should I do? I know guanfacine has helped people with LC and it could also help with any ADHD symptoms. I need something to help with this. I still feel this physical sensation of adrenaline at times and just kind of wired and tired.

I just want my life back 😞

Hi! 30F and I started Lexapro 9 weeks ago and 7 of those on 10 mg. It gradually helped with insomnia, which is one of the main reasons I started it. It has been a bit up and down though and now I am still having episodes of insomia.

However, the additional meds I had for sleep (Mirtazipine and oxazepam on occasion) are not helping. The last two nights I had to up the benzo dose to the same dose I had in the first week of starting Lexapro and I'm kind of baffled.

Idk if this is something hormonal or not since I am a little over a week from my period but I also don't want to be using the benzo to sleep.

Has anyone had this happen and why is it so up and down? It seems like the Mirtazapine stopped working or something. I feel okay going to sleep, I'm not anxious but I just can't seem to get tired.

Hi all!

I'm currently taking Lexapro 10 mg for over 6 weeks (over 8 weeks in total on Lexapro) because of a burnout. I had sudden anxiety and severe insomnia that lead to depressive symptoms quickly, I had adrenaline surges and heart palpitations, loss of appetite to name some symptoms.

While I feel a lot calmer, I feel unmotivated and just kind of lazy. Any experience with this? It seems to be helping with emotional regulation (one of my biggest issues) and lowering anxiety but it also makes it hard to get anything done or have interest or feelings. I felt more like myself for maybe a week or so but now this has been my new normal.

I'm in my final stretch of getting diagnosed for ADHD and wondering whether this could have an effect. I still feel some anxiety too.

Has anyone found relief by lowering or increasing their Lexapro dose? What should I do?
