hey yall!! so, for some background, im a 19 yo dental assistant whos also in undergrad and ive been assisting for i wanna say 8 months now. i feel like im stuck though. in my office, im the only assistant. our front desk girl used to be the assistant but moved to front desk when the former one resigned, which from what i know was before i got there. its a small small office, but there are multiple days where i have back to back patients and no down time to do other assistant duties like stocking etc. but, i just feel like ive lost the passion. my doctor is nice and im really grateful that i was given the job, but i just feel like theres so much to it and i just dont feel like im getting it, and everytime i feel like i am getting it, my doctor finds something else i am doing wrong. im really trying to take it on the chin, but its been getting to me a lot lately. i dont want to quit because i want this experience for when i apply to dental school, but its really just running me dry and the fact that i have autoclave maintenance tomorrow with back to back procedures is really not helping.. does anyone have any advice
