I’m 57 and was pretty happy with how my face was aging until I hit 55 and then everything went to crap. Like seriously all at once. People never believed me when I said how old I was but then at 55 they stopped saying it 🤔

Areas of concern-

-redness and texture changes of my chin, nose, whole area around my nose and forehead. And the pores are ridiculous.

What can I do now to make it look better (makeup ideas?) the texture makes it difficult for makeup to sit right, despite my attempt at skin prep. I haven’t found a concealer that works. Or a primer.

- creases. Nasolabial folds, more pronounced on one side (yes, I am a side sleeper) and forehead

- eye bags. I do use the IT cosmetics product for this which does help for the day

What can I do to make it look better long term? Skin care first, then treatments or procedures second due to budget.

I can’t believe I’m posting this picture. Obviously before makeup which includes brow tint gel so I promise I don’t leave the house like this.

Where would you start?

I’ve lost about 85 pounds and am 7 pounds from my goal weight of 135.

I was at TJMaxx yesterday looking for clothes. I found myself being kind of paranoid as I looked through the size 6-8 pants and medium tops, thinking that other women must be thinking I’m in the wrong section and am delusional.

I feel like an imposter in a way. It’s almost harder to shed the fat brain than the fat body!

How long does it take for this to change?

How are people navigating work after some of the treatments like laser that cause a lot of redness, etc? I have to be in the office 4 days a week. Is a week of PTO enough? I am already self-conscious about the redness on my face that cropped up a year or so ago, there is no way I’d want to go to work looking like the pictures I’ve seen here.
