LPT: If you want to break bad habits, make them slightly harder to do
I realized most of my bad habits weren't because I lacked discipline.
They were just too easy.
If chips are on my desk, I eat them.
If Tiktok is one tap away, I open it.
If my phone is next to my pillow, I scroll for an extra hour.
The thing that helped most was not motivation. It was making bad habits slightly more annoying.
Now I log out of distracting apps, keep snacks out of sight, leave my workout clothes ready the night before, and put my phone across the room when I’m working.
Turns out tiny inconveniences work better for me than trying to become some super disciplined person.
