I am looking for some advice as to what my next steps should be. I have been studying since the beginning of March roughly 2-4 hours a day everyday of the week besides Friday. I have been using MCAT self prep and my Princeton Review books as resources. With MCAT self prep every module includes watching videos on the topic, readings, 15-30 example questions and a quizlet related to the topics. I took a diagnostic half length test before starting my studying and got a 495 and now I just took my first full length and only got a 497.
I’m feeling very frustrated because I’ve been really trying to work hard for this and I’ve only increased by 2 points. I was hoping to take my real MCAT June 13th or June 29th but with this score I’m just not feeling like it’s even feasible. I know this is dramatic but it’s just starting to feel like a pipe dream.
How can I change my studying habits to make it worth taking the exam in June? I work M-F roughly 7:30-4 and then study after. Any advice at all would be helpful, I’m the first in my family to try to go to med school and I’ve been out of full time school since 2023.
Thanks in advance
