I’m brand new to this sub and learning about this condition.
Tested positive in Dec 2025 for ureaplasma after months of itching, odor, pain after masturbation(not sexually active since Sept 2025 but that sex hurt too.)
The meds helped and I was so relieved to have my normal coochie back! Then a few days after I finished the meds, it came back full force. I went back to the doc, more tests, everything negative. She told me to take a probiotic.
I had no health insurance in January and felt so shameful and demoralized after my last doctors visit in Dec that I just dealt with it. Boric acid helped with the smell, I’d try to breathe through the itching and just bathe daily no matter what which also helped the odor I think.
I finally made it back to the doctor recently and had another set of tests run. All negative.
The tests were a complete panel for STIs, yeast, BV and mycoplasma/ureplasma. I’ve gotten an exam at every appointment.
I cried when I got my most recent results and asked ChatGPT. I hate using AI but I was panicking. Thankfully it suggested CV to me, I found this sub and did my first Baking Soda bath yesterday.
I had almost immediate relief! I noticed some sensations throughout the day but my pelvic area felt very relaxed and not itchy at all. This morning I felt a little itchy again so I’m doing another baking soda bath. I’m thinking I’ll do it daily for a week or so and see how that feels.
However, I’m feeling concerned because my symptoms and experience don’t match up with other folks here. I don’t have any significant discharge and I see a lot of women with confirmed CV saying baking soda made them burn more first or have a reaction.
So I guess my brain is like “well I must not have this even if the baths are helping if I don’t have the same issues as everyone else”
I’m going to order a PH test kit but my understanding is if the baths are working, it won’t any issues anyway. So should I discontinue the baths to confirm I have this or just keep going if I’m getting relief?
