On Saturday we put Wiggles and Lola (our beagle) out in the backyard. The backyard is fenced in. 20 minutes later I went out to enjoy the beautiful weather and saw a Lola but not Wiggles. I stuck head in the house and yelled Hey did y’all put both dogs out or just Lola. Family yelled back Both dogs. I yelled Wiggles is gone. WTH!

We live near a busy street. And a couple days before Christmas a guest left the laundry room entrance door open and Lola got out and got hit by a car. It was a horrible experience. And required a couple of expensive AF surgeries to repair the fractures in the pelvis and the femur. So “we’re a little bit on edge about dogs sneaking out”.

Everyone runs outside and starts scouting. WIGGLES!! WIGGLES!! WIGGLES!! A few blocks away little kids said the small spotted dog went that way, Pointing further away. We raced there. A boy was holding Wiggles. He was with his mom. Wiggles had taken the route we use most often on dog walks.

We’re unsure how wiggles got out. The fence uprights are closer than Wiggles most narrow part. We looked for holes. Jump points. We don’t know. Just in case he did go thru the fence we’re adding a 2” fence to our 3.5” fence.
