(Art by u/Banjacks-3 )It’s criminal how underutilized necramechs are by DE

Necramechs are such an amazing concept for how little DE seems to care about them.

The only time we’ve ever really seen them is during a handful of quests and as gameplay padding for lacklustre modes, like conjunction survival.

It would be excusable as simply being low priority if they were a newer feature, but we first got necramechs *6 years ago* with heart of Deimos.

The worst part about all this is that “fixing” them would be very easy, realistically boiling down to 3 changes:

1: more mods for necramechs/archguns. We haven’t had any new mods for necramechs since they released to my knowledge, and it wouldn’t even be hard to make new ones either. The most obvious solution would be porting over the corrupt mods (blind rage, overextended, etc.) along with some other possible additions like primed mods for example.

2: mission compatibility. In order for necramechs to feel like an actual feature and not just a gimmick, I think we should be able to deploy them in almost any mission in the game, with obvious exceptions like duviri. It doesn’t make sense that we can deploy them in railjack defence but not regular defence on the exact same tileset.

3: *more necramechs.* once again, the pool of playable necramechs hasn’t been updated at all since they released way back in heart of Deimos, 6 years ago. So far we got bigass sword and bigass turret, nothing else. I mean, imagine a caster necramech with an exalted staff, or a sniper necramech with an exalted railgun. Shi would be so fun to play around with. We could even get *prime* necramechs given their relation to the orokin.

Overall, it just really sucks how DE put one of the coolest gaming concepts into warframe (giant mechs) then just suddenly forgot about them. Even the necramechs we have currently have 1-2 good abilities and the others are CLEARLY outdated (cough cough meathook cough cough).

The chances DE actually sees this and acts on it are incredibly low, but even if they never see it, I hope it might lead to them eventually updating necramechs through word of mouth. Regardless, I needed to get my thoughts on the matter out.
