CB1 : Lenoir, Prysock

CB2 : Green, Jack Jones

NB: Stout, Hobbs

FS: Jayir, Stroman?

SS: Mustapha, Sigle

Comparison with the team who beat the Eagles in the playoffs:

The starters initially are the same, We have now far better backups

  1. Prysock is a promising shutdown 6’3” who ran 4.4.

  2. Jack Jones: came from 2 years with Raiders and Dolphins in which he started 34 games out of 34, with an outstanding 16 pass defended in 2024. He is clearly better than Lucas or Luter, his value as backup is far higher than as a starter.

  3. Hobbs: bad as outside, good in nickel, backup of Upton, but reliable for sure

Concerns: safeties are clearly the worst position of our entire team, even worst than the oline (who at least added 2 promising players).

I don’t know we are remaining with these names, maybe some trades are gonna happen. But right now here is what we have:

FS: Jayir as the starter, he is not reliable, he has some flashes, but he often misses out.

I put Stroman who i don’t really know why he was not selected in the draft, probably because of the bad results at the Pro Day. Anyway he had some flashes in Notre Dame, but he has to prove a lot in the training camp and in the pre season.

SS: Mustapha and Sigle are complementary, the first one is better in pass coverage, Sigle better in run defense. They’re not great but both reliable, considering that mustapha last year didn’t have the preparation during the summer. Sigle improved a lot in the last part of the year, hoping he continues with this trend.

Overall: Considering we have a way way better front 7, and a better LB room with the add of Dre, DB will have less pressure, and we are right now deeper and stronger with this room. Considering moreover, an improvement from the younger guys, I only hope we fill that hole in Free Safety.
