My father passed somewhat unexpectedly yesterday, and I recently just beat homelessness with my son and moved into an apartment and have literally no money left over from paying our security deposit and first months rent. I gave my new landlord every penny I had saved from working while staying in shelters for months and we finally moved in 05/01. I really would like to take the day off with him and take him out to a nice lunch or dinner date and break the news to him about his grandpa and I would also like to get a few groceries and things for our new home. We don’t even have furniture yet, just a blowup mattress, no pots and pans to cook in or nothing lol but it’s ours so idc!
