Anyone unable to connect in the app?

As most players have said, there isn’t much of a tutorial or explanation for anything in this game.

I was hoping someone could help give me some tips or an idea on the mechanics.

I’m an entirely new player, I doubt I’ve played a full day yet and would appreciate it.

Also.. does anyone know how teams work exactly? Can I rename mine or edited it? I just went with whatever it generated and now I’m regretting it.
