(F20) A little backstory: When I was 16, I took an IQ test in my AP Psychology class and I scored 140. My teacher was really shocked and told me I should take a more formal IQ test, and she gave me the contact of a university clinic near us that did WAIS testing. My mom took me and paid, and I got a 149.

Everyone was shocked because I was a C student, occasional B. My family always joked I was the “dumb” sister, and I was compared to my sister (who loved to read, had a 4.3+ gpa, and was super well behaved). I had really bad ADHD and just never maintained good grades. When I applied myself, I did really well, I just never cared for school and figured it was a waste of time (I’ve now grown and realized how dumb I was for thinking that). I graduated high school with a 2.8 gpa, and that was after I got all A’s my senior year in attempt to bring it up.

I’m now 20, almost 21, and I’m studying Mechanical Engineering.

I never really thought the whole IQ thing was that interesting until I was with my friends a few weeks ago. They brought up their IQs and asked me mine. They all seemed freaked out and excited, and I think I just realized it’s rarer than I thought. They had so many questions and were curious, so I thought I’d go on here and see if the online world is as curious as the real one is. Ask me anything!

I was taking my final at ODS, and I made the big mistake of writing some formulas from the study guide onto my calculator. Before I had time to even actually get into the exam, they caught me and took my calculator. They reported it to my professor. This is my first offense, and I got caught at the very beginning.

Has this happened to anyone else? Will I get a 0 in the class or have a record? I’m super anxious. I’m not someone who ever cheats, I just couldn’t memorize 1-2 formulas.
