I have been living in Japan for a while now and for the most part I feel pretty adjusted to daily life here, but garbage sorting still somehow manages to humble me occasionally.
Most of the time I think I have got it figured out, then I will look at some packaging with three different material labels on it and suddenly start second guessing everything.
The other day I stood in my kitchen way longer than I would like to admit trying to figure out which bag something belonged in.
At this point I feel like trash sorting is an ongoing side quest that never fully ends.
