So far, so good
I started 30mg duloxetine for anxiety six weeks ago after not being on any medications for the last six years (was on fluoxetine from 2016-2020. Tapered off due to sexual dysfunction).
I felt better after my first dose. Absolutely could feel a change. Six weeks in and I am feeling like myself from over 10 years ago. I feel like such a weight has been lifted. I had almost forgotten what it was like to be me.
The side effects haven't been amazing (can't sleep through the night, dry mouth, wildly difficult to achieve orgasms - though not much different than being on fluoxetine), however being able to just sit and be quiet, watching YouTube without my stomach churning, has been sublime. Feeling like a normal person again has been wonderful.
I don't know if I'll eventually want to get off this medication but, at 52, I don't know if it matters.
Anyway, it's working for me. Just wanted to share.
