Gas too expensive? Have you considered exploiting your fellow man?

Gas too expensive? Have you considered exploiting your fellow man?

Hey uber, quick question.... if gas is too expensive for me.... how can I get somebody to give me a ride somewhere else, with their vehicle (that has to have a higher insurance rate due to being used for commercial purposes) while covering their gas costs and providing them a living wage ethically? Cuz even if I take out the requirement for an ethical living wage ( which they are clearly trying to do) I still don't understand how I can save money by paying for somebody else's gas and higher insurance premiums..... make it make sense.

It's not like this is eggs and my neighbor has chickens. Joe the Uber driver doesn't refine his own gas to put in his car and probably doesn't have the disposable income to not worry about insurance or insurance rates or premiums. And he's probably not driving something gas efficient either.

This is my basement. This is not my cat

Adding a little context: I currently care for five cats: four striped, one black. I know this grumpy old man from my neighborhood, I'm involved in my local stray population and helping control it, and I know he's well cared for by my community.

So... One of my cats has a bad habit of getting out of the house, So when he does I usually leave open a side door (that leads to the basement so that he can scratch at the door and I can let him back into the house without letting any of his siblings out). While I was letting my cat that likes to get out back into the house, another one of my cats (solid black) ran downstairs.

So I shut the door and waited for him to scratch at it but I didn't realize that I didn't shut the side door to the outside all the way. The neighborhood Grandpa cat decided he didn't want to be in the rain anymore tonight. Imagine my confusion when I saw a striped cat in my window and my further confusion when I saw all four of my striped cats run past me down the stairs to go stare at the *OTHER* striped cat...

What followed suit was a chaotic 10 minutes of me trying to wrangle the five cats that I do own back into the part of my house that I can fully control so that I could leave the door open and allow the grumpy old man to leave. As far as I know he's still in my basement.
