R10 Lens Upgrades

Reposting because the automod didn't like my pictures.

I recently picked up an R10 with the 18-45mm kit lens, and am looking for opinions on lens upgrades.

My main uses are for travel, snapping photos around the house (dogs, wife, flowers), product photography (I’m also a hobby woodworker), and events (car shows, markets, etc.). I may also dabble in astrophotography, but that’s low priority at this point.

I am perfectly happy with the zoom range of the 18-45mm, but would like to improve overall image quality, bokeh, etc.. Ultimately, I’d like to keep something with a similar size/weight and focal range as the 18-45 as my “main” lens, and add a wide angle lens for landscapes and/or astro.

Now the real questions:
Is the Sigma 18-50 f2.8 a significant enough upgrade over my 18-45 f4.5-6.3 to be worth the cost, considering the only tangible difference is the wider and constant aperture?

Any recommendations for a wide angle lens? Canon’s affordable 10-18 f4.5-6.3, Sigma’s less affordable 10-18 f2.8, Sigma's 12mm F1.4? something else entirely?
