Does anyone know how payout limits work with progressives?
Been wondering this for a while. I've asked in a few casinos (dealers and pit folks) while playing and always got a non-committal shrug of the shoulders.
Also Googled it with not much success (maybe I'm not wording the question correctly).
A lot of table games have a statement on the table or the screen saying something along the lines of, "Payout Limit $50,000 per hand" but it's not uncommon that the progressive "light" bet's jackpot is well above that amount ($100,000+).
Does that mean that if I pay my $5 light bet and hit the Royal Flush or whatever triggers top jackpot on the progressive screen I'm only ever going to see $50,000 across all of my bets minus whatever other people at the table won that hand?
