When I planted the jenny last year I didn't realize this little corner got early morning sun and then shade until the afternoon (west facing house). In the crazy hot summers last year, a fair amount on and near the brick got burned to a crisp and I don't want that to happen again. The weather lately has made it explode growth wise (along with those dusty millers).
Are there any suggestions on how I could maybe shade it more, whether that's a shrub or I was maybe thinking about putting something elevated in a pot over it. I'm a little afraid to try to relocate.
I'm in northern Delaware and while there's mulch and some top soil underneath, it's very hard dirt mixed with clay underneath that.
I'm also still trying to figure out what else is going in the bed overall this year.
