I am not a supporter of any political party, but I do feel that a change in government was necessary. Now that it has happened, I am more interested in what comes next real, practical improvements that people can actually see and experience.
I am curious to know what changes you want to see. Kindly be specific and detailed.
Here are a few that came to my mind:
Transparent recruitment in all state government sectors, so deserving candidates get jobs fairly.
Bringing back pass/fail system in education, because education should focus on real learning, not just promotion. A system that actually prepares students for the real world.
Better standards in government schools, along with tougher question papers to improve the quality of education.
Stronger incentives and proper schemes for farmers, since agriculture is still the backbone of many families.
Better roads, hospitals and transport infrastructure across the state.
Revival of handicrafts industry, micro industries and small scale industries, so local talent and local businesses can grow.
Policies that make it easier for MNCs and other businesses to invest and operate in West Bengal, creating more jobs and economic growth.
More accountability, less corruption and a government that works for people instead of only making promises.
These are just some initial thoughts, but I am sure there are many more areas that need attention.
What changes and developments do you want to see with the new government?
Would love to hear all of your thoughts.
