Hello! Non-Belgians in Leuven here, expecting a baby in 2027 and I have heard it can be very hard to find spots in daycare centres, so it is recommended to start applying from very early on.
My question is two-fold:
a) Any tips on how to go about this process?
b) We will probably only be needing 2 full days a week to begin with - in that case, can you apply for specific days of the week or do you just get them randomly assigned? Are there days that are less 'popular', I.e. more chance of getting a spot?
I'm thinking for example that a combination like Monday and Wednesday may be very common for people to request as they have to go into the office those days, so does it make more sense to ask for Tuesday and Friday? (work is pretty flexible for both of us, so we can probably make any day of the week work - does it help if we mention that?)
