I seldom listen to my vinyl player and the hifi system hooked to it. It is connected to my Cambridge Audio CP2. I tried to listen to it today and it suddenly died.

6 years in and it died. I was disappointed as my speakers and vinyl player, which are much older, laster longer than that.

Would keeping it on most of the time spoil it? Or its a Cambridge Audio problem?

Also, I’m now in the market for a new phono stage. Any suggestion is welcome? In terms of price point, perhaps no more than US$300.
