Hey, i currently have a pc with a R9 3900x/64gb 3200 mhz DDR4/6900xt.

I play in 4k 120hz and need a CPU Upgrade for more FPS. Because of some personal projects i need at least 64gb RAM, and for the games i play at least 6, better 8 cores.

Now i need some input from you, if possible i want to reuse the ddr4 ram, since ddr5 is so expensive.

My options would be:

Ryzen 7/9 5.gen

Intel 14.gen with ddr4

Totally upgrading to am5 and spending nearly 800€ on the ram alone.

Would it be wise to take the little step, and buying a r7 5800x/r9 5900x, or should i spend a little more for lga1700 with a new board and a 14700k?

What are youre suggestions?
