I just got a new stray and need advice about how to get them to get along
Like the title says, I recently brought a new stray in and they're not adapting well. I had 2 cats already and while 1 is fine with them (let's call them cat 1) for the most part, the other cat (lets call them cat 2) hates them. We've kept them in a separate room but even then everytime they smell eachother through the door they start smacking at eachother and hissing, I heard the best way to break them up is with loud noise but that hasn't work. I've also noticed that cat 2 has become more aggressive and territorial towards cat 1 aswell and even though they haven't gotten along super well in the past they mostly just ignored eachother instead of fighting, could the stray cat be the cause of it? My mom is thinking of removing them, and while id hate to do it after they just got comfortable with us, im not sure if this is sustainable. Any advice at all is appreciated
