hi friends. i recently bought a Roomba j7 combo. used it just once then it gave me connectivity issues along with some errors which pointed at dead/faulty battery or charging station couldnt charge the robot.
i return it to where i got it from to repair it. i received today, and what i been told is that they just completely replaced it and gave me a brand new product.
i arrived home, and begun to connect the new robot to my app. after many failed attempts, and plenty of chatgpt consulting, i tried changing to a 2.4 GHz, rebooting the robot, my phone and my router , "add a new product" through the app, uninstall and re-install the app, make sure when i try to connect to the robot's network, quickly accept it and dont allow my phone to -auto dismiss the pop-up due to " no internet connection to the network" and many others....
nothing of those work. sometimes while i try to connect the robot to the app, it just loops back and forth, and some other times it hits a "dead end" saying that it tries to connect and permanently buffering.
i concluded to 1 final error that i couldnt fix, and i hope u can help me fix it and that would solve the issue.
"could not connect (BF0423)
we were unable to connect to your robot please reboot it and try again.
for roomba combo: open the top cover, turn the power switch off for 10 seconds,
then turn it back on."
this is the error i receive, but i have no idea where this switch is. chatgpt mentioned that the switch is near the dustbin/water tank but thats all.
i tried youtube/google/chatgpt and i coudlnt find any material explaining where this switch is.
i tried unscrewing it and remove some parts to search for this switch, but i just cant find it. a lot of google/youtube content mentions how to clean/maintain the robot but absolutely 0 reference about a switch 0.o
is chatgpt trolling me? does this switch even exist?
any one had a similar issue???
