Galaxy Tab S9 or iPad Air 7 M3?

In a few months I'll go to university and I decided to buy a tablet to organize all my notes and because I'll go into a field with loads of chemistry and biology, so drawing structures is a requirement (no need for pressure sensitivity, just basic note taking).
Plus I do photography on the side so a quick way to edit photos or to take a look at them on the go would be great.
I already do most of my editing on my desktop pc at home anyways.

I found the galaxy tab s9 and the air 7 m3 at about the same price (450 euro for the new S9, 410 + 30 for the separate third party pencil for the air) and I was torn between these two. Which one should I get for note taking and on the go photo editing? I feel like the M3 might be overkill.

University student: Galaxy Tab or iPad?

In a few months I'll go to university and I decided to buy a tablet to organize all my notes and because I'll go into a field with loads of chemistry and biology, so drawing structures is a requirement (no need for pressure sensitivity, just basic note taking).
Plus I do photography on the side so a quick way to edit photos or to take a look at them on the go would be great.
I already do most of my editing on my desktop pc at home anyways.

I'm looking at refurbished prices: I'm torn between going for Samsung, so getting either the Galaxy Tab S10 FE for 400 euro or the Galaxy Tab S9 for 470 (or more even); or going the iPad route, so getting either the iPad A16 for 300 euro + third party pen or the Air 7 M3 for 410 + third party pen.
With Samsung i'd be getting expandable storage (but I get free cloud space with university account) and AMOLED either 90 or 120 hz fully laminated screen which I wouldn't get on the base iPad.
With Apple I'd get a new ecosystem, which I don't find is a bad thing to be fair, faster chips and longer software support.

What do you recommend for my use case?

Audi Q5 SUV 40TDI Quattro S-Line (NUOVA, 80k euro)
Audi Q5 40TDI 204CV Quattro S-Tronic Black Line (usata 25mila km a 55k euro)
Audi Q3 SUV 35TDI 150CV S-Tronic (usata 27mila km a 44k euro)

Laptop for university

Hi everyone. I'm going to university soon so I'll need a way to organize files and take notes.
I'll be going into a field with loads of chemistry and biology so drawing structures is a priority: I'll also need a way to type though.

Plus, since I do photography on the side I'll need to edit photos on the go in Lightroom and a way to store them, in an external drive eventually.
I initially considered getting a tablet with an external keyboard, but I think a laptop is more practical and can be used for more things (faster, more space etc.): so my choice narrows down to either a 2-in-1 with a stylus or a "normal" laptop with a Wacom.
What do you recommend for my use case?

  • Total budget (in local currency) and country of purchase. Please do not use USD unless purchasing in the US: 600-700€
  • Are you open to refurbs/used? Both, but preferrably refurbed and new
  • How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life? As I said something to draw is necessary so either a 2-in-1 or a Wacom drawing tablet. Battery life is also important as I won't always be able to charge it so I need something that lasts long. Performance wise I need it to be smooth and run Lightroom and basic note taking apps
  • How important is weight and thinness to you? Not important although lighter is preferred
  • Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A. N/A
  • Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run. Photo editing with Lightroom.
  • If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want? No gaming required
  • Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)? If 2-in-1 the tablet mode should be compatible with a stylus or pen
  • Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion. I'm open to raising my budget if necessary!

▲ 2 r/roma

Ciao a tutti, sarò a Roma i prossimi 3 giorni con altri 5 miei amici (mezzo viaggio di maturità diciamo) e volevamo sapere se ci fossero dei buoni posti dove mangiare cibo tipico romano senza pagare troppo. Preferibilmente in zona Appio/Tuscolano/Centro storico ma siamo disposti a spostarci.

Hi everyone, I'll soon need to buy a tablet for university, to save files, organize them, do homework, study and take notes.
The main tablets i considered are Galaxy Tab S9 (normal S9, not FE) /S10 FE and iPad 11 (A16)/iPad Air 6 (M2). The thing I noticed while comparing them is that Apple have better CPU and they're faster in general, but iPads have 60hz screens and no expandable memory. Samsung on the other hand has slower chipsets, but compensates through display quality (90hz and 120hz) and by including the pen.
Given that I found these 4 models within the same price range (mid price, between 300-450 euro with included Metapen for apple devices buying them refurbed) what is better for my use case? Thank you!
