Hey everyone,
I had ACL reconstruction with a hamstring graft about two weeks ago, and my recovery was going really well — my physical therapist even said I was ahead of most patients.
Then something happened. While I was sleeping, I suddenly felt a strong “pop” in my hamstring area, right near the attachment close to the knee (right leg, lower inner side). The pain shot all the way up into my groin and was extremely intense for about an hour. Over the next two days, I still had severe pain and was quite limited in my movement.
Then it happened again during the night — another “pop.” This time it wasn’t as intense, but since then I haven’t been able to fully extend or properly bend my leg. I also can’t continue my rehab exercises at the moment.
For context, I’ve also been taking BPC-157 and TB-500 peptides for about a week now (250 mcg of each per day).
From what I’ve researched, it might be scar tissue breaking up, but I’m not completely sure.
Has anyone experienced something similar, especially this kind of “pop” in the hamstring area after surgery? What did it turn out to be for you — scar tissue, a strain, or something else? And how did it affect your recovery timeline?
Any advice or experiences would really help. Thanks a lot!
