Items you don’t use for their intended purpose often, but use for something else all the time?

Mom had a nail bar she used all the time to hold the pages of her book open to read. While I made hash browns this morning in my waffle iron. Can’t tell you the last time I made waffles, but hash browns and grilled cheese make my waffle iron handy. Are there things you use often that are not necessarily their intended purpose?

Edit to add: a nail bar is a flat pry bar for pulling nails out of planks or walls. nail bar
