Songs to help understand transitioning around / conceptual movements
Hey there. I'm just trying to see if some people have suggestions for songs that really apply concepts (maybe vertically or horizontally across the neck)... like... "Connecting The Dots" kinda of songs. I get that OH!! moment from songs over the year's I've played.
For instance I learned a ton from Little Wing (SRV version)-- (but really any Hendrix), Nothing Else Matters, Gravity.. Those songs all use open chords, but also go further up into the next for certain phrasing.
What I guess I'm really aiming for is voicing/phrasing and transitioning from open chords to up the neck, or certain runs/licks that teach a lot. I should also mention that I learned the CAGED system in the key of D, I'm still trying to wrap my head around that a little bit. Thank you in advance!
