Ryan NAILED the customer-service problem. I have been selling on eBay for 20+ years, and am/was on the verge of quitting.

(Watching the interview with Justin right now.)

You cannot reach real people. And if you do (no offense here) it is people in the Philippines or India, sometimes with heavy accents, and not really in tune with the "vibe" of the seller's dilemma. All that I receive is "thank you for being a loyal seller for 20+ years", and then all manner of "yes, yes, yes."

Then I get cookie-cutter responses about how they "will take care of me" and "don't worry, your problem will be resolved soon". It never F'ing happens. When I hang up the phone, I am 98% sure, that I just wasted 5-30 minutes for nothing.

Don't even get me started on the CHAT FUNCTION. All parties involved in the horrible evolution of that monstrosity, need to be put in a pillory for 24 hours, receiving the worst of rotten fruit and cheese.

The only times resolution has happened, is, if I can, by some miracle, get a LIVE American customer service agent (I think the trick is to call very early in the morning).

So mostly, I am left with unreasonable knocks on my feedback, punishment by the algorithm, customers punking me on returns, etc...

Ryan needs to hire ME, and many of YOU on here, who have made eBay their living for many years. WE NEED TO BE HIS CONSULTANTS. I'll do it for $1, or maybe some used socks.
