It’s been a long time since I’ve had to fight a traffic ticket (before online court options and body cameras).

I was ticketed for both a Stop Sign Violation and Prohibited Turn Offence. Each of these is $110 and a total of 5 demerit points. My biggest concern is insurance going up.

I know the three options are:

(1) Pleading Guilty (definitely not)

(2) Early Resolution Meeting (is there a point to this?)

(3) Request a Trial (is there a downside?)

Is it worth it to hire a lawyer or one of those X-Copper agencies?

Any tips or advice would be appreciated?
