Oh, Finally Arrived From Clockwork

That's right, a silver, CM4, with LTE showed up today to my surprise. Was expecting a year or two wait time. Yes, this came straight from clockwork, so it was a shock to see it show up so fast (ordered back in February of this year and it arrived in early May). Looking forward to modding this thing...

Upgrade kit finally showed up

  • AIO v2 hacker gadget
  • NVMe 18650 battery bank
  • Adapter board Pro

Had fun setting it up, plan to migrate the SSD to a more efficient one that has a lower power draw than this intel 960p (upgrading to a WD blue eventually). Currently it has 1tb of storage, 16gb of ram, running on a CM5 module. Before the upgrade I was averaging about 6 to 7 hours, expected reduction of 30 to 60 minutes, so about 5~ to maybe 6~ hours on average is to be expected.

The SDR was something unexpected, and a joy to use, granted I do not have the proper antenna for it, I plan to get one more suited for this, plan to experiment and learn about it as I go, but so far it looks interesting!

Other than that, it was quite simple to put together, only difficult part is the pro adapter moves your CM module, so if you have thermal pads, you have to replant them (as my cooling solution is actually on the back on the device, utilizing two vapor chambers, as shown in one of my previous posts).
