Hi everyone!
So my party has stumbled into an old mineshaft that is meant to be a shortcut through a portion of a mountain range they are trying to cross. My plan for this section is for them to be stalked by a bodysnatcher type creature, which replaces one of the party members (the member that was replaced is aware of this and is more than happy to).
However, I'm in a big stint of creative block currently and cant for the life of me come up with some encounters or puzzles for their journey into the mine.
All i have formulated lore wise is that the mine is dwarven, and was the reason for the bodysnatchers to emerge, being that they accidentally dug into a cave where they lived. They found cave paintings showing people worshipping a completely normal looking person.
The bodysnatchers themselves are called Locusts, and are 4 legged spider like beings, with incredibly pointy and sharp legs. They paralyse victims with a neurotoxin in their fangs, before dragging them away into a nest, where they wrap them up in a fleshy digestion sac to be slowly consumed. They use the DNA taken from the bite to perfectly replicate their victims.
