Basic reliability was poor after losing the official app, so I moved on to a TicWatch that eventually died on me, then my Galaxy Watch started flaking on battery right before a big trip.

Dug this guy out and set up with the new app and everything seems great!

The fact that this watch sat dead in a drawer for YEARS and with one charge I can pair it, update it, and use it with BETTER BATTERY LIFE than my 2-year old Galaxy Watch is absolutely insane.

Sure, I like being able to see doorbell image previews and emojis easily on a more common smart watch, but that's the ONLY bonus I get from a non-Pebble watch, and it's hardly critical.

The fact that I've averaged $100 a year on hardware for several years, only to have my 10 year old Pebble outlast everything else is insane.

I really thought I wouldn't bother getting a new Pebble because my Galaxy Watch seemed fine, but this has completely turned me around.

I think once they're out and about I might grab the new round or whatever comes next.
