I got hit or hit something I guess and now there's a good chunk of paint missing from the front body panel. My main concern is just integrity, this is a 20 year old car, and I live in Michigan where we get plenty of rain, snow, and road salt.

Is this going to cause rust to spread and really damage my car in the near to medium term? Should I just peel back the loose stuff and sand it down and throw some Bondo on it?
