Some people treat this game like a full-time job
I was playing co-op Rivals with my buddy like we usually do on weekends. We’re normally around Div 2–3. We got matched against a team, and one of the opponents sent me a friend request (I have direct messages from random people disabled to avoid toxicity). I figured they probably wanted to complete an objective or challenge, so I accepted it.
The guy immediately says: “Golden goal?”
I said no, because I’m playing with my friend to actually enjoy the game, not just grind wins as fast as possible lol. It’s not a job , I don’t feel like I have to finish every Champions match, get my Rivals points, and complete every objective ASAP.
Then the dude replies with “idiot” lol. I don’t get it… some people genuinely don’t even want to play a full match anymore. They’d rather score once, quit, and move on to the next game. Where’s the fun in that?
We ended up winning 4–2, and I sent “GG” because it was actually a fun match… no response, of course.
Are there really that many people who log in just to finish “tasks” instead of actually enjoying the game? I know this game is frustrating every year, but what’s the point of only playing for objectives?
And btw, the guy already had two Ligue 1 red picks… meaning he somehow finished 15 Champions games in less than 24 hours and was already trying to speedrun Rivals too 💀
