Built the pc a little over two years ago. For a year or so everything worked perfectly. First issue I ran into about a year ago was the four case fan LEDs (three face and single rear) would frequently not come back on after waking from a sleep state. Even after a complete shutdown and reboot they wouldn’t kick on. The fans have always worked, just had issues with the LEDs.
I have two Argb hubs, a case hub and the be quiet hub. I do not currently have them daisy chained. I have the pump in the cpu fan header and the cpu opt has the fans. I just recently had a severe frame drop while playing a game and then the PC shut off. I know the cpu is overheating rapidly even after a cold boot because the BIOS shows a rising temperature. When I boot into windows the GPU stays cool and consistent, whereas the processor begins to increase temp quickly.
I disconnected the be quiet loop, took the fans off the radiator and throughly cleaned everything there. Reinstalled them, as well as cleaned the thermal paste from the cpu heat spreader and the water block and reapplied thermal paste. First boot up showed improvement but I’m still concerned.
Please don’t roast me for not knowing everything I’m still learning. Any help or thoughts on what could be contributing to either issue is greatly appreciated.
