I recently received an Omega De Ville watch as repayment for a small debt (a couple hundred dollars). It is believed to be from around the 1960s and possibly made of 18k gold, but unfortunately it came with no box, papers, or documentation, so I cannot verify its authenticity.

I noticed a “750” marking on the clasp, which I understand typically indicates 18k gold (75% purity), but I’m unsure whether the watch is solid gold or just gold-plated.

I would appreciate any insight on:

Whether this is likely to be solid gold or plated

A realistic price range if it turns out to be genuine

The best way/place to get it authenticated

I’m considering selling it, so any guidance on value would be very helpful.
