TA Here. I spent 5 nights at Atelier Playa Mujeres two weeks ago.

Resort Review: Atelier Playa Mujeres

I’ve stayed at hundreds of resorts over the years, but I’m calling it now: Atelier Playa Mujeres has the BEST food I have ever had at an all-inclusive. Period.

If you are looking for a laid-back, high-end relaxation vibe, this is a top-tier contender. Here is the lowdown on the highlights:

The Foodie Report (10/10)

The Steakhouse: My absolute favorite meal of the trip.

Lunch at Cilento: Do not skip the pizzas!

Room Service Hack: Believe it or not, the Room Service Filet Mignon was a total game changer. Also, we tried the breakfast buffet once, but Room Service breakfast was 100000% better.

Poolside Snacks: Keep an eye out for the carts! They have fresh fruit (get the Tajin!), fresh coconuts, and a guy with a homemade chip cart that makes the perfect poolside snack.

Drinks:

The best bar for us was the Bar de La Calle (Not in the lobby, but near it. Only open during evenings)

The mixology here is legit. My top picks:

Creme Brulee Martini (A must-try!)

Passionfruit Mezcalita

Mango Margarita

French 75

Don Julio & Fresca

The Service:

They restocked our room daily with everything we needed—including the little candy bars which we may or may not have hoarded to bring home for the kids!

⚠️ The One Catch: The "Chair Game"

The only struggle was the pool seating.

Standard chairs: If you aren't out there by 8:00/8:30 AM, good luck finding a spot.

Cabanas: These are first-come, first-serve, and you really need to be down there by 6:00 AM to snag one!

The Vibe:

We spent most of our time at the main swim-up bar because we love the music and the energy. While the resort is beautiful and incredibly relaxing, it is definitely on the "laid-back" side.

The Verdict: Would I go again? Yes. Next time, I’d bring a big group of friends to bring a little more "upbeat" energy to the trip!
