Is this broken Alpha Juno 2 worth my time?

Alright… this may be a long one, but it requires context. sorry if i tagged this wrong!
last year I got to play my schools alpha juno 2, i didnt even know we had it. its a little busted and held together with hopes, dreams, and duct tape. i also think 2 of the keys are broken. but yknow, it has charm.

but one day, the sound just. stopped working. mid-song. the amp it was plugged into was fine, so was the cord, and everything was turned up. it was strange since everything else was working fine. on the synth. it turned on, the buttons were working. yada yada.

now, i may know the reason why it could be broken, but this may also be a completely separate incident that has nothing to do with it, i don’t know much about technology and how it interferes with each other. a few days before it was connected to a keyboard amp that was hanging on by a thread… and someone came by while i was practicing and turned a knob, i believe it was the knob for the highs, all the way up and a big crackle came from it, and the amp was dead. (had a big note that said do not move by it, by the way.) the thing is, the synth was fine when we connected it to a different amp afterwards. but like i said, only for a few days.

getting to my point, now i have the chance to take this alpha juno 2 (no pics rn unfortunately) off the schools hands for a couple bucks, think less than 50, would it be worth it to pick up and get fixed? what could possibly be wrong with it and would it be super expensive to fix? or would i be better off just buying a working one instead for more. this synth is really cool and it breaks my heart to see it go out like this. i appreciate any comments :)
