I asked one of the engines about the best pizza in Oslo and it came up with Momma Pizza and said it won the 2025 best pizza in Norway, so we walked over and gave it a try.

Here’s the rub, some folks can make a good lookin’ pie that doesn’t taste well, some can make an ugly pie that tastes great, and some can do both.

Momma Pizzais in this last category. The crust was ‘kissed by an angel’- right blend of crunch, chew and taste ( tho’ I would have liked it cooked 10-15% longer). My wife never eats crust, but here, she did. Cheese mix was excellent with just the right amount of ‘stretch and string’. Wish my snaps could do the flavor justice:

Been traveling and not making my own pies at home in the USA. Seems like across Europe there are plenty of mediocre Neapolitan pie places- almost to the point of me giving up on pizza over here. But today, in Helsinki, I found a very good thin tavern style pie that I thought I’d share with the community. Skiffers…
