I'm sorry if this has been posted before. I've started working out after years of not going to the gym. Been at it for a month now. I typically work out every weekday morning. Each day I focus on either arms/upper body, legs, or abs. While I feel sufficiently (but not excessively) sore for 1-3 days after arms/legs, I never feel sore after doing the ab workout. Even though during the workout, I feel like I'm really struggling, sweating, it takes a lot out of me. I've looked up this issue (including the subreddit wiki) and I get some responses that don't seem to apply. You stop feeling sore after working out consistently for a while, but I just started up so it's not that. Some people don't feel sore, but I feel sore after arms and legs. I get that soreness isn't always a great indicator of how good the workout is, but the discrepancy is making me feel like I'm not doing it right.
