I’ve got a Panasonic WhisperValue Fv-0510Vscl1 with humidity sensor, and I’m wondering if I can use a timer switch with this fan while also having it still able to turn on by itself when it detects humidity. In the diagram it shows the main fan switch interrupting power to the unit, meaning that it has to be left on for the humidity sensor to work. What happens when I come into a room with no humidity and want to turn on the fan for 15 minutes while I stink up the room? That’s where I would like a button style countdown timer to be an option.

I heard someone say that you can wire the fan directly to power, and put the switch on the red humidity sensor wires. But what exactly would that switch do then? If you turn it on it activates the humidity sensor, and if you turn it off the fan just runs nonstop?

Please help!
