Do any other teachers want to teach honors or AP — and you’re highly-qualified— but because you’re good with “bad behavior” kids or “you’re a coach,” teachers with poor classroom management get moved up to AP or honors? I’ve seen new teachers get their lunch eaten by a freshman regular class (sped inclusion), then get moved to AP the next year. Is this fair? I went to the best uni in Texas (Rice), but because I’m an athletic coach and I have good test scores, they’re keeping me in regular classes with sped inclusion.
