TW: pet loss
Our 9yr old pup developed a condition causing her to rapidly decline and she is being euthanized later this afternoon. Gratefully we are able to use an in-home service where she will be surrounded by her favorite cozy blankets and snuggled by her humans. We know we are making the right choice for her, no matter how heartbroken we might be.
I use astrology for intention setting and directing my meditation practice, and I am a Scorpio rising. In my meditation on Wednesday, I invited her to join me and I told her that I would always do the right thing for her, even if it hurt, but I would need her to help me know when it was the right time. And she did, the next morning, when she wouldn’t eat. Whether that is magic or spiritual connection or my own psychological experience doesn’t matter, I’m just glad it happened.
She will slip off in a few hours, under the Scorpio full moon, and I will forever be grateful for her licking the tears off my face for the last nine years, and for letting me know when she was ready to go.
